Mine

My, Mine, his, theirs, yours, it's...

All words that can be used to say that something or someone belongs to someone or something.
We are humans yes but thats just our species we are still animals, and by nature and instinct we are territorial about our material items, our family, our friends, and most especially significant others.

Most people dont know where they belong in the world but a majority do know who they fit with and say they belong with.

Am I his?

completely

is he mine?

there in lies the issue

in the past there were lavish parties or balls that would celebrate a courtship or engagement, whole cities, states, and countries would know that certain people were taken by one another. Nowadays we have social networking relationship status updates that show who someone belongs to. We are now in a time where the term monogamy is turning into just a word without meaning, sad, but rapidly increasing.

In the Hunchback of Notre Dame 2 they had a festival where you scream out to the world and the heavens that you belong to your love and they belong to you. In The Swan Princess, Prince Derrick was told to make a vow of everlasting love to one woman in front of his entire kingdom soon the world would hear of it.

Sure these are cartoons and fairytales, but they represent events of the past that used to occur, minus all the magic of course. seeing someone is in a relationship with someone else in words doesnt cut it anymore, people still make attempts to take what they want because its not made clear that they can't take what belongs to another. Cities dont have festivals to celebrate courtship their are no balls that connect families and friends....theres the internet. Words that if said over and over again can have no meaning to people. Of course society always progresses, it has its moments of regression but never to that extent again.

My question, wonder, and fear is that will monogamy truely dissapear forever in the coming years and just be a fun idea to try, or a word you can find in the dictionary.

Picking Scabs

Why is it that when we get hurt and the wound starts the healing process and starts to scab and eventually scar, we pick at it?....sure it gets itchy its there we just cant leave it alone.
we know it will never heal if we dont stop but we keep doing it.

A scab is like a bad memory that we cant let go of...we may not be able to see it but the places, and people around us are the constant reminders. Its not like we can just move away at any moment and leave everything we know behind....

the current eonomy just wont allow that

so how do we stop?
its not like theres a neosporin for lifes bad moments that will just instantly cure it.

from what ive learned you just find as many happy moments as you can in this moment and in every moment and with focusing on that maybe, just maybe you'll let it heal..

morning wake up calls

No im not talking about having someone or a computerized wake up call at a certain hour...its those random thoughts wake up calls, the ones that you get just when your about to slip into Dreamworld. The point between consciousness and subconscious thoughts. When you realize something that hasnt totally been introduced to you but should have been common sense....but leave it to good ol' subconscious to help you out with that!...then you go oh sh**! because now you have this realization or to keep more in line with the 'title' a wake up call. confusing? okay I love examles so here goes.

example: you realize that you are in the totally wong major...wrong path...you start looking at what your life will look like ten years from now...total mundane unhappiness.

thus wake up call...

whats next?..well first you think time wasted...but think again! time is never truly wasted its always a learning experience...in this case all those classes you took and money spent taught you that your not meant for that, for lack of a better word, path.

now that the realization has been made and semi accepted...sleep ;)
